MS in Digital Innovation and Financial Technology is a 2-year-program. It offers three types of studies:

Type 1: Thesis only (36 credits)

Type 2: Coursework (24 credits) + Thesis (12 credits)

Type 3: Coursework (30 credits) + Independent Study (6 credits)
As for the terminology ‘Financial Technology’ used for the purpose of this program, it does not solely mean ‘internet finance’. It means digital technology for security which is effectively and efficiently used as a legal proof and verification of digital assets, such as bond, share, ownership of property. It also includes Blockchain technology which is a platform for digital transactions, such as cryptocurrency, among others.
The MS program was designed to produce graduates who are able to:

Be a domain analyst in industries or an entrepreneur who is equipped with the knowledge of digital innovation and financial technology.

Improve the industries in accordance with information or data collected and produced by the digital and financial technology.

Use appropriate tools to analyze digital data – structural data, semi-structured data, and unstructured data.

Understand and be receptive to changes in the area and relevant matters including legal matters of cryptocurrency and smart contract, and law enforcement.

C. Academic Activities

A student has to organize and present paper in a seminar on the topic related to his/her thesis once every semester for at least 1 semester by courses regis- tration (888791) and students have to attend seminar every semester that the course is offered.

At least 1 master’s thesis work or a part of master’s thesis work must be pub- lished or at least accepted to publish in an international journal listed in TCI Tier 1 database with the student as the first author or at least 1 master’s thesis work or a part of master’s thesis work must be presented in international conference accepted by the field of study with the student as the first author. In the case of Thesis relating to invention, Patented or Petty Patented works must have re- ceived the patent or petty patent numbers and can be used as substitution for National or international journal publication.

A student has to report thesis progression to the Graduate School in every se- mester with approval by the Chairman of the Graduate Study Committee.
