University of the Ryukyus Exchange Program Announcement (Japan)
The University of the Ryukyus, Japan, announces the application for exchange students under the Ryukyus International Student Exchange (RISE) Program for the Academic Year 2026–2027. The program aims to provide students with opportunities to experience academic study and cultural exchange in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan.
The RISE Program offers various study tracks, including:

Japan–Okinawa Studies Course

Major Studies Course (for students with advanced Japanese language proficiency)

Research Study Course (for graduate-level students)
Program Period
Eligibility
Applicants must:

Be current Chiang Mai University undergraduate or graduate students

Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00
-
Meet the required language proficiency in English or Japanese, depending on the selected course
Selected students will receive a tuition fee waiver at the University of the Ryukyus. In addition, students may apply for the JASSO Scholarship, which provides financial support of JPY 80,000 per month, subject to eligibility and conditions.

Nomination and Application Deadline
The International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI) may nominate one student for this program. Interested students are required to submit all relevant application documents to Ms. Tanya (Room ICB1103) no later than 10 March 2026.
