Kokushikan University Student Exchange Program 2027 – Call for Applications

Kokushikan University, Japan, is now accepting nominations from Chiang Mai University students for the Student Exchange Program for Academic Year 2027.

The program is open to eligible undergraduate and graduate students from all faculties and fields of study and provides an opportunity to study at Kokushikan University for one academic year, from March 2027 to February 2028.

Under the exchange agreement, the selected student will receive a tuition fee waiver from Kokushikan University. However, the participant will be responsible for all other expenses associated with the exchange, including airfare, accommodation, meals, insurance, transportation, and personal expenses.

Financial Responsibility

The selected student will be exempt from tuition fees at Kokushikan University. However, students should carefully consider their financial readiness before applying, as all other expenses during the exchange period must be covered by the student.

These may include:

• Round-trip airfare and travel expenses
• Accommodation
• Meals and daily living expenses
• Insurance
• Local transportation
• Visa and related expenses
• Other personal expenses

JASSO Student Exchange Support Program

Students who wish to apply for financial support through the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) Student Exchange Support Program must meet the eligibility requirements and conditions specified by JASSO.

Please note that eligibility for the exchange program does not automatically guarantee eligibility for or receipt of JASSO financial support.

Important Information for ICDI Students

Interested ICDI students who wish to be considered for nomination must submit their application documents to the ICDI International Relations Unit for internal review and consideration.

ICDI Internal Application Deadline: September 23, 2026 by 3:00 PM

As only ONE student may be nominated for this exchange program, applicants are advised to submit complete application documents within the specified deadline.
