UK Chevening Scholarships 2027–2028
Chiang Mai University, has been informed by the British Embassy Bangkok about the UK Chevening Scholarships 2027–2028, a fully funded scholarship programme offered by the Government of the United Kingdom.
The Chevening Scholarships provide an opportunity for outstanding individuals with leadership potential from around the world to pursue a one-year master's degree programme at a university in the United Kingdom. The programme aims to support future leaders in gaining knowledge, skills, and international experience that can contribute to the development of their home countries.
Chevening Scholars are required to return to Thailand upon completion of their studies and comply with all scholarship conditions.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants will receive financial support covering:
- Full tuition fees
- Monthly living allowance
- Return airfare to and from the United Kingdom
- Arrival allowance upon arrival in the UK
- Travel allowance for returning to Thailand
- UK student visa application fee
- Travel costs to attend Chevening events in the United Kingdom
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a Thai citizen and commit to returning to Thailand upon completion of the scholarship.
- Demonstrate leadership potential and possess appropriate personal, intellectual, and interpersonal qualities.
- Hold an undergraduate degree, postgraduate degree, or equivalent professional training or experience in a relevant field at the time of application.
- Have at least two years of work experience, equivalent to a minimum of 2,800 hours.
- Meet the specific eligibility requirements of the Chevening Scholarship.
- Not hold British citizenship or dual citizenship that includes British citizenship.
- Not have previously received a Chevening Scholarship or a scholarship from the UK Government within the past five years.
- Not have worked for the UK Government, or have an immediate family member who has worked for the UK Government, within the period specified by the scholarship.
- List three eligible master's degree courses and institutions that they wish to study at in their scholarship application.
