Niigata University Exchange Program – Fall Semester 2026
Chiang Mai University has been informed by Niigata University, Japan, regarding the Student Exchange Program for the Fall Semester 2026, available for one semester or one academic year.
Students selected for the exchange program will receive a tuition fee waiver from the host university. However, participants are responsible for all other related expenses, including travel, accommodation, health insurance, and personal costs.

Applicant Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be an undergraduate student (final-year students are not eligible)
- Must have completed at least one semester of study
- Must have good proficiency in English or Japanese
- Applicants who wish to enroll in Japanese-taught courses must have advanced Japanese proficiency (equivalent to JLPT N1 or N2)
- Minimum GPA of 3.00
- Must be in good physical and mental health
- Must return to their home university (CMU) after completing the program

- Application Form
- Academic Transcript
- Certificate of Enrollment
- Copy of Passport
- Health Examination Certificate
- Application for Certificate of Eligibility
- Bank Balance Certificate
- Language Proficiency Certificate (if any)
- ID Photo (4 x 3 cm)
