Fall Semester 2026 Exchange Program at Toyo University, Japan

Chiang Mai University has been informed by Toyo University, Japan, to kindly disseminate information regarding the Fall Semester 2026 Student Exchange Program. The program will be conducted from September 2026 to January 2027 and is open to both undergraduate and graduate students of Chiang Mai University.

This exchange program offers students an opportunity to study at Toyo University and gain academic and cultural experience in Japan.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a current student of Chiang Mai University and have completed at least one semester of study

• Be able to submit an official academic transcript

• Meet one of the following language proficiency requirements:

  • Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) Level N3 or higher, or

  • English language proficiency at CEFR Level B2 or higher

• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50

Benefits

• Students selected for the exchange program will be exempted from tuition fees at Toyo University

• All other expenses, including accommodation, travel, living expenses, and personal costs, are the responsibility of the students

1. Curriculum Vitae (CV)

2. Academic Reference

3. Copy of Passport (ID photo page)

4. Official Academic Transcript and Explanation of the Evaluation System

5. Proof of Language Proficiency (one of the following):

   • Copy of JLPT Certificate (N1, N2, or N3)

   • English proficiency score at CEFR Level B2 or higher

   • English or Japanese Language Ability Certificate

6. Passport-style photograph

7. Certificate of Health

8. Application for Certificate of Eligibility

9. Financial Supporting Documents
