Advanced Placement Program

For High School Students who intend to apply for the international program at Chiang Mai University or wants to develop skills in digital literacy and English proficiency.

Study Time:
  • Program AP I (3 months): Monday – Friday, 9.00 a.m. – 12.00 p.m. and 1.00 p.m. – 4.00 p.m.
  • Program AP II (4 months): Monday – Friday, 9.00 a.m. – 12.00 p.m. and 1.00 p.m. – 4.00 p.m.

What will you get from the program?

Prep-school in Digital Literacy and English Proficiency Skills, preparatory courses to make students ready for studying International Programs for Bachelor’s Degree at Chiang Mai University. For International College of Digital Innovation Program, you can apply for Transnational Education (2+2 program), 2 years at Chiang Mai University and 2 years in UK, Australia or China. (Language requirements apply)

Students will study general education courses, subject in Digital Economy and Digital Disruptive Technologies. When students get a B grade or higher, they can transfer their credits (credit bank) to their undergraduate study when enrolling in Digital Innovation Program at Chiang Mai University.

Students will study English to achieve TOEIC 500 and also are able to use English proficiency in oral presentation at least for 30 minutes and in writing an essay for at least 5 pages in 3 hours. If students have an English proficiency test results TOEFL iBT minimum score of 60 or IELTS Academic overall band 5.5 or above, they can have 2 English courses exempted when enrolling at Chiang Mai University.

GE 888106 Introduction to Emerging Rules of Disruptive Technology in Trade Impact of Disruptive technology in Trade. Disruptive Technology: cloud computing, high-speed broadband, additive manufacturing (3D printing), Internet of Things (IoT). Global trade in goods and service: international laws relating to goods and service, customs and border security. Emerging rules of trade with disruptive technology: regulatory support of innovation, streamlined rules and regulations, cyber security. Case studies (National case studies): Australia, Japan, US, Singapore, EU.
