2026 Hanyang ERICA Winter School – Short-Term Program in Korea
Hanyang University ERICA, Republic of Korea, is now accepting applications for the 2026 Hanyang ERICA Winter School (HEWS), a two-week short-term international program to be held from January 17–31, 2027, at Hanyang University ERICA.
The program offers international students an opportunity to combine academic study with cultural, social, and industrial experiences in Korea. Participants will also experience winter in Korea while building international friendships and networks with students from around the world.

Program Period: January 17–31, 2027
Duration: 2 weeks
Track: Academic Course Track
Language of Instruction: Most courses are taught in English, except for the introductory Korean language course.
Academic Courses and Credits
Participants may take up to 4 credits during the program:
- One 3-credit major course, and
- One optional 1-credit supplementary course
Students are advised to review the available courses and consult ICDI regarding possible credit transfer or recognition before applying.
Program Fee
The program fee for students from partner universities is:
KRW 1,700,000
The fee includes:
- Application fee
- Tuition fee
- On-campus accommodation
- Program activities
The following expenses are not included and must be covered by the participant:
- Meals
- Insurance
- Airfare and other travel expenses
- Personal expenses
Early Bird Discount
Students who complete both of the following requirements will receive an additional KRW 100,000 discount:
- Complete the online application by October 31, 2026
- Complete the program fee payment by November 6, 2026
Both conditions must be completed within the specified deadlines to qualify for the Early Bird discount.
Application Process
Interested students should:
- Review the program details, schedule, fees, and available courses.
- Create an account and complete the online application for HEWS 2026.
- Pay the program fee according to the specified procedures and deadlines.
- After completing payment, receive a Student ID Number and register for the selected courses according to the host university's instructions.
- Apply for a visa, if required, and arrange airfare and travel insurance.
- Travel to the Republic of Korea and participate in the program.

Important Information for ICDI Students
ICDI students interested in participating in the program must contact the ICDI International Relations Unit and obtain approval according to the College's procedures before submitting the online application and making any program fee payment.
Students are strongly advised not to make any payment before completing the required ICDI internal approval process.
